From 2010-2022, I worked closely with the Collections + Exhibitions team at AGWA as collection photographer. My role primarily included the documentation and digital asset management of the State Art Collection in line with national standards – as well as touring shows, special projects, marketing and publications.
Since 2014, I’ve been working with staff at Martumili Artists in Newman on Nyiyiparli Country, supporting the smooth cataloguing of artworks in this busy art centre. Representing 7 remote Martu communities, Martumili Artists includes an art production studio, gallery, retail space, and on-country programs.
The Seed Fund’s Management Workshop Program is a NSW-based development and networking program for music industry managers and self-managed artists. The program is holistically designed as a 5-day workshop intensive and each day begins with a reflective development session with me.
Groundwork was shown as part of Perth Festival’s visual arts program at DADAA in 2021. A series conceived with long-time collaborator, Rose Megirian – Groundwork involved photographing temporary assemblages made from objects designed by Rose and produced by Western Australian makers.
Anna Richardson and Abdul-Rahman Abdullah are independent artists, husband and wife, and long-term collaborators whose practices draw on family heritage, animals and farm life. Both are represented by commercial galleries and held in public collections. I have worked with them over many years on exhibition marketing, grant applications, editorial commissions and artwork documentation.

Co-written by Victoria Laurie and me, with my photographs, A Big Thing shares the story of one of my trips to Martumili Artists. Focusing on the art practice of Judith Anya Samson, A Big Thing was originally published in Galah Magazine and then later in the Galah Book.
During 2020–21, while much of the world was in lockdown, I travelled more than 22,000 km across Western Australia—primarily by road—with a portable studio kit to photograph the state’s regional and remote art and museum collections. Over 200 collections were visited and documented in this WA Museum project.
Grounded in experience as both a tertiary lecturer and a freelance creative, I bridge gaps in knowledge across the cultural sector through my workshop program. Designed for creatives, artists, sole traders, educators, small business owners, and changemakers, the program responds to real-world challenges and evolves alongside the industries it supports.
A fortnightly Substack publication exploring leadership, sole-trader life, business, and creativity, and includes reflective prompts for readers to journal privately and/or share with the community.
For over 20 years, I have photographed public and private art collections, exhibitions, installations, and artists at work in studios and on site. This work represents the core of my professional practice. I have worked in every major gallery in Western Australia and with thousands of artists, collaborating closely with curatorial, collections, and exhibition teams.
The highlight of my year, Tide + Seek emerged from a series of workshops and evolved to become a transformational 5-day program of personal and professional development in the Great Southern region of Western Australia.
From 2006 – 2020, I styled and photographed commissions for architects, mainly for the Australian Institute of Architects Awards and Houses Awards. Many of these projects went on to win the awards and were subsequently published in architecture and design magazines.
Soul Traders grew out of running workshops and noticing creatives facing the same challenges again and again. Wanting to share practical insights with a wider audience, I launched the podcast in February 2020 with my friend and co-host, digital strategist Amy Snoekstra.
